Lower Guadalquivir

The gateway to Doñana

The marshes of the Lower Guadalquivir, the gateway to Doñana and close to Seville, are a birdwatcher’s paradise. The Brazo del Este Nature Reserve, a protected area alongside the old riverbed, is home to a rich diversity of birds such as the marbled teal, the little bittern, the black-winged stilt and the white-winged tern, similar to those found in the Doñana Nature Reserve and its surroundings.

For those seeking a more comprehensive tour, we offer guided routes led by expert guides that have a low environmental impact, following the Guadalquivir as far as the province of Cádiz, maximising sighting opportunities so you don’t miss a thing. A flexible itinerary designed to make the most of your birdwatching time.
